Facebook / Meta — Open Graph preview
Twitter / X — Twitter Card preview
LinkedIn — Open Graph preview
The Open Graph Preview tool lets you fill in your page's Open Graph and Twitter Card meta tag values and instantly see a pixel-accurate preview of how the link will look when shared on Facebook, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn. No browser extension required. It also generates the exact HTML <meta> tags you need to paste into your page's <head>.
Open Graph tags (og:title, og:description, og:image, etc.) are read by social platforms when a URL is shared. Getting them right means your content looks compelling rather than showing a generic preview with a broken image or missing description.

Open Graph tags are HTML meta tags that tell social platforms how to display your page when it is shared as a link. The og:title, og:description, and og:image tags control the title, description, and thumbnail image of the preview card.
Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord, iMessage, and most other platforms that show link previews all read Open Graph tags. Twitter/X uses its own Twitter Card tags, which this tool generates alongside OG tags.
The recommended size is 1200 x 630 pixels (a 1.91:1 ratio). This renders well on Facebook and LinkedIn. Twitter/X large image cards use a 16:9 ratio, so 1200 x 675 px is a good compromise that works across all platforms.
A summary_large_image card shows a full-width 16:9 image above the title and description. A summary card shows a small square thumbnail to the left of the text. Use large image for visual content and summary for text-heavy or reference pages.
Keep the title under 60 characters and the description under 160 characters for the best results. Facebook truncates titles at around 88 characters and descriptions at 200. Twitter/X truncates titles at 70 characters and descriptions at 125.

No. You type in the tag values you want and the preview and generated code update instantly, so you can design and test a share card before the page is even published.
Copy the generated meta tags and paste them inside the <head> section of your page's HTML. After publishing, use each platform's debugger (such as Facebook's Sharing Debugger) to refresh its cached preview.
